Students who attend public or private pre-K are significantly more likely to be ready for school when they enter kindergarten than children who stayed at home
All students—regardless of household income—are 1.8 times more likely to be kindergarten ready when they have pre-K experience.
Students from low-income households were 2.6 times more likely to be kindergarten ready when they had pre-K experience.(1)
